Will a French-Girl Fringe Suit Me?

Fringes are usually a softening feature so they suit most people. The only situation where they don’t is where the area of the forehead to the hair line is not very high and a fringe could have the effect of closing in the face too much. But even then, in some cases, this can be resolved by making the fringe wider. Check out our quick guide on what fringe suits your face shape below…
Long and narrow faces: This look should work well on you, as fringes that hit just below the brows will make your face look fuller.

Round or square faces: Fringes can make circular faces appear even wider, so finding the right shape is key. Ask for a graphic, curved style that will flatter bone structure. The thicker the better, as wispy versions will have less impact.

Heart-shaped faces: Jackpot! You’re the lucky ones and can get away with pretty much everything. But if you want something definitive, the ideal style is layered and feathered -perfect for the French-Girl look.

Your French-Girl Fringe Consultation at Our Top Dundee Salon

When describing this cut, bring a picture or screenshot along to your appointment at our Dundee hair salon, so you and your Partners Beauty and Hair stylist can be on the same page – after all, one person’s ‘long’ is another person’s ‘shaggy’ is another person’s ‘sexy.’ During your complimentary consultation, your stylist will access your face shape and hair type to ensure that a ‘French girl fringe’ is for you.

Top Tips For Looking After Your French-Girl Fringe

Regular Trims at Partners Beauty and Hair: To create that effortless French vibe, your Partners stylist will leave the ends of your new fringe feathery as opposed to blunt. However, with any kind of Fringe, you’re still looking at regular trims in order to keep their shape, so keep that in mind.

Stock Up On Dry Shampoo: There’s no doubt that you’ll be touching and playing with your fringe a lot, especially at the beginning, which will just produce some extra oiliness.  Dry shampoo is also perfect for stopping a fringe from separating and keeping it fresh and volumised throughout the day.

Great haircut from Cal today and so good to have my hair razor cut for the first time in many years. It is lying beautifully. Cal is the third stylist I have had at Partners, they have all been excellent in their own way. Would certainly recommend them all. Fiona Buchan

This is my 4 visit now (yes I went back) I am so hoppy with the end result, every time. I have a colour and toner done by Anya and Skye who are lovely and welcoming. When I leave I don’t feel I have to rush home and wash my hair and re style it like many a time I’ve done in the past at other salons. Yes I pay a bit more but i’m paying for the expertise

First visit to salon today for a colour and cut. Booked a consultation visit yesterday where I met the delightful, energetic Callum who not only put me at ease but guided me through what colours would suit Me and how he would acheive this and how I can maintain, change it in the future. Booked in straight away for today's appointment. All I can say is "wow" and "thank you so much" I got the colour, cut and look iv been trying to acheive with other stylists for years today from Cal. I ❤️ it. We had a laugh too. The salon is very welcoming, relaxing and professional and I will be recommending to everyone who I know will compliment my fabulous hair. Thank you again xxxx
